Goldman Sachs ends the supplementary pension scheme as of 1 July 2026
Goldman Sachs ends the supplementary pension scheme as of 1 July 2026
The Extra Pension Scheme and the Net Pension Scheme are run by Goldman Sachs (formerly NN IP). However, Goldman Sachs will stop administering the Extra Pension Scheme and the Net Pension Scheme as of 1 July 2026. That is why it is no longer possible to join the supplementary pension scheme if you are not yet a member.
If you are a new TNO Pension Fund member, it is unfortunately no longer possible to participate in these supplementary pension schemes. Fortunately, there are other options available if you want to supplement your pension. You could, for instance, consider saving at the bank or taking out an annuity. Read more about this on our website under how to build your pension.
Existing members can, however, still invest extra money until 1 July 2026. This means you can also increase your monthly contribution for your Extra or Net Pension Scheme. After 1 July 2026, you can no longer invest, as these Extra and Net Pension Schemes will be closed. The accrued capital is very likely to be included in your new pension contract. No decision on this has been made yet, although consultation with the social partners has now started.
Supplementing your pension in the new pension scheme
In the fund’s new pension scheme, the current TOP scheme (for those who participated in the 1996 – 2006 period) and the Extra/Net Pension Scheme cannot continue in this form. We are considering how we can shape this in the new pension scheme and a top-up option is very likely to be introduced. This is currently being investigated. However, you can obviously always arrange a supplement to your pension yourself through such things as bank savings or taking out an annuity.
