Assets and liabilities of the risk-based pension fund scheme

Rounded up, the value of the pension fund’s risk-based scheme assets as at end December 2023 was €3,766 million. Compared with year-end 2022 (€3,431 million), this represents an increase of €355 million.

The market value of the liabilities stood at €3,119 million at end December 2023. This means an increase of €484 million compared with year-end 2022 (€2,635 million) and is mainly attributable to the award of indexation and the low interest rates.
